Job Description
Our clients are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designers and Layout Designers. These role would suit candidates with strong mining and minerals background and a demonstrated background in the design process, Materials Handling Design, co-ordination of work with other design disciplines and the efficient management and delivery of projects within budget and quality constraints.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Prepare layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements
- Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements
- Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with the Principal Draftsperson and communicating issues in a timely manner
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects
- Comply with Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Mechanical design and plant layout - crushing, grinding, materials handling, flotation, CIL/CIP, slurry, pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification and separation would also be highly regarded
- Advance diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable.
- Extensive experience with Microstation.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
